Redemption 10 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey
Prior to Prohibition, rye whiskey was the staple ingredient of classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, the Manhattan and the Whiskey Sour. Spicier and more robust than malt whisky, rye was so popular that George Washington distilled it at his estate in Mount Vernon. As distilleries across the country were forced to close their doors due to Prohibition, however, bootleggers began distilling gin instead of rye, and for good reason gin didnt require aging under the watchful eye of a master distiller and its true flavors could be hidden behind a mask of botanicals. As Americans grew accustomed to gin, rye whiskey became an anachronism.Nearly a century after Prohibition, the preferred whiskey of the saloon era is experiencing a resurgence. By law, rye whiskey must be made from a mash of at least 51 percent rye. Rye that has been aged in charred, new oak barrels for at least two years earns the title straight rye whiskey. Redemption 10 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey is made from a mash of 95 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley, and is matured for a minimum of 10 years before being mingled and bottled from just six individual barrels. The whiskey is then bottled at barrel proof. As a result of this extra-long maturation process, Redemption 10 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey has a nose of spicy rye, caramel and oak, which leads to sweet cereal grains and bitter apple on the palate. The finish is oily and warming, with some faint hints of vanilla accompanying even more spicy rye and oak notes.Redemption 10 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey was named one of Whisky Advocates Top 10 Whiskies to Try. Redemption 9 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey
As the quintessential American whiskey, federal regulations in the United States (27 C.F.R. 5 to be specific) require that bourbon be made from a mashbill of at least 51 percent corn before being aged in new oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof or higher. Bourbon that meets these requirements and that has been aged for a minimum of at least two years may be called straight bourbon.Prior to Prohibition, rye whiskey was the staple ingredient of classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, the Manhattan and the Whiskey Sour. Spicier and more robust than malt whiskey, rye was so popular that George Washington distilled it at his estate in Mount Vernon. As distilleries across the country were forced to close their doors due to Prohibition, however, bootleggers began distilling gin instead of rye, and for good reason gin didnt require aging under the watchful eye of a master distiller and its true flavors could be hidden behind a mask of botanicals. As Americans grew accustomed to gin, rye whiskey became an anachronism.Redemption Barrel Bourbon Whiskey is made from a mash of 75 percent corn, 21 percent rye, and 4 percent barley, which makes it significantly lower than their high-rye bourbon but still on par with other classic high-ryes like Four Roses and Wild Turkey, which clock in between eight and sixteen percent rye mash. A bit more approachable to dedicated cask-strength bourbon drinkers, this bottle of Redemption is a good balance between Americas historical staple (rye), and its current love (bourbon). After distillation, it is aged for nine years in new, charred American oak casks before being hand bottled. The nose features prominent oak notes mellowed with caramel, mineral water, anise, orange rind and cocoa. The palate continues to be carried by caramel flavors, with spice and dark fruits leading to a medium finish of herbs and spices. The bourbon has notes of sweet caramel, dried fruits and toffee, which complement hints of cinnamon and spicy rye.Redemption 9 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon represents a powerful expression of American whiskey at an incredible value. Reisetbauer 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky
In 1994, on his family farm in Axberg Austria, a man named Hans Reisetbauer was hard at work achieving his vision; the art of distilling. From the planting of his first orchards, Hans displayed the most meticulous care for his harvest, which in turn yielded high-quality fruits to distill his eau-de-vies. Hans Austrian farm is home to 13,000 pear trees, as well as 7,000 apple trees. All of these fruits are harvested by hand, which is impressive considering its scale. The fruits are also grown sustainably and organically. The orchard boasts an extensive range of apples at the Kirchdorfergut," including the Arlet, Elstar, Gala, Boscop, Idared, Topaz, Rubinette and Pinova varieties. Their range of pears is also quite diverse, which includes the famous Williams pear and the "Red Williams, "Gute Luise" and "Dr. Guyot varieties. In addition to this, Reisetbauer also owns a 4 hectare plum orchard, harvesting the quinces from his master distiller. The apricots used to produce the distillerys award-winning apricot brandy are sourced from Hanss good friend and well-known vintner Bernhard Ott, who have been working together since 1999. Hans is equipped with one of the most modern distilleries in Austria, and abides by the highest quality standards. This single malt is wholeheartedly Austrian. The malt is sourced from four hectares of barley on their own farm. The whisky is then distilled on site and aged for 12 years in a combination of Austrian Chardonnay and Trockenbeerenauslese barrels, creating whisky of distinctive Austrian terroir. Reisetbauers use of Austrian Chardonnay and Trockenbeerenauslese casks to mature the whisky make the spirit quite distinct. Trockenbeerenauslese is a high quality wine, made from hand selected grapes with noble rot. Grapes that yield wines with an intensely sweet and rich flavor. The casks used in this expression were sourced from the top Austrian winemakers Gerhard Kracher and Heinz Velich. This delectable whisky has notes of hazelnuts, grapes, and warm baked goods. Remus Repeal Reserve Series IV Straight Bourbon Whiskey
George Remus, dubbed the "King of the Bootleggers," was a famous bootlegger during Prohibition, exploiting loopholes in the Volstead Act to distill bourbon. Born in 1878 in Germany, he settled in Chicago with his family in the 1880s. In his teens he worked in his uncles pharmacy, later becoming the owner. It was there that he acquired experience that would prove invaluable during Prohibition, and the pharmacy would serve as the foundation for his empire. He switched careers, going into law and eventually becoming a trial defense attorney gathering even more useful skills. Once Prohibition was starting to wind up, he would defend many bootleggers, taking note of the riches they managed to amass. Once the Volstead Act was enacted, he found a way to circumvent it and provide a steady stream of spirits for his budding bootlegging operation. The empire expanded and Remus eventually had 3,000 workers as well as politicians on his payroll, briefly living a lavish lifestyle that reportedly inspired The Great Gatsby. The 2020 addition to the award-winning series is the Remus Repeal Reserve Series IV Straight Bourbon. It honors the repeal of Prohibition and is meticulously crafted with 12-year-old bourbons, making it the oldest Remus Repeal Reserve to date. 77 percent of the juice is a bourbon with a 21 percent rye mash bill, the remaining 23 percent a 36 percent-rye bourbon.Get one of these limited-edition bottles today!

Rittenhouse 100 Proof Straight Rye Whisky
During the American Revolutionary War, the British Royal Navy imposed a blockade against American ports, which prevented the colonists-turned-revolutionaries from importing crucial supplies into the United States. As a result of blockade, American distilleries, which had been distilling molasses imported from the Caribbean islands into rum, began distilling rye grains instead.By the end of the war, approximately 5,000 log stillhouses were operating in Pennsylvanias Fayette, Allegheny, Westmoreland and Washington counties, producing an incredibly aromatic rye whisky known as Monongahela Rye (the rye was named after the Monongahela River, which was situated adjacent to a number of distilleries). Following the Whiskey Rebellion a bloodless battle that was instigated by an excise tax imposed on distilled spirits a number of these distillers moved south into Kentucky and Tennessee.Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whisky is a Kentucky rye whiskey crafted using the same traditions that Pennsylvanians used to craft Monongahela Rye over two centuries ago. After the grains are mashed and fermented, the whiskey is distilled and aged in new, charred American oak casks for a minimum of four years (although the average age of the rye is closer to six years old). Following maturation, the whiskey is bottled-in-bond at 100 proof.Rittenhouse Rye has an aroma of cocoa, toasted rye and oak spices, along with hints of vanilla and caramel. Notes of rich, intense chocolate, cloves and spices dominate the palate, and are balanced by sweeter notes of vanilla, orange zest and raisins. The finish is long and beautiful, with touches of cocoa beans, baking spices and allspice.Rittenhouse Rye earned the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, where it was named the North American Whiskey of the Year. In addition, it earned a score of 94 points from Wine Enthusiast, which named it one of the Top 50 Spirits of 2010. It was also named the Best North American Whisky by Whisky Magazine and "Best Buy Whisky of the Year" by Whisky Advocate.Pick up a bottle today!

Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel Bourbon
The use of wooden barrels to store and transport liquids dates back to 2690 B.C., when ancient Egyptians during the Early Dynastic Period began replacing clay vessels with wooden casks in order to meet the demands of their sprawling civilization. The advantages of wooden barrels were evident not only were they less fragile than clay vessels, but their cylindrical shape allowed them to be rolled rather than carried across short distances. As settlers along the Nile quickly realized, however, barrels made from wooden staves were rather porous any liquids stored in the barrel slowly evaporated as the barrel "breathed."As whiskey ages in wooden casks, it evaporates through the pores of the wood. On average, approximately 2 percent of aging whiskey is lost to evaporation each year this 2 percent is commonly referred to as the angels share. In the United States, federal regulation requires that bourbon be made from a mashbill of at least 51 percent corn and aged in new, charred oak casks. Bourbon that meets these requirements and that has aged for a minimum of two years may be called straight bourbon. Each bottle of Rock Hill Farms Bourbon is aged about 8 years in a single, new, charred American oak barrel, and is bottled in bond at a robust 100 proof. Made from a mash bill of corn and malted barley, as well as more rye than typical bourbons, Rock Hill Farms Bourbon has a bit of spice to go along with its sweet notes of toasted nuts, fruit, chocolate and marshmallow. The bourbon finishes extremely smooth, with a lingering sweetness.Named for the rich farmland along the Kentucky River that runs outside the Frankfurt distillery where the bourbon is made, Rock Hill Farms Bourbon was called "The Worlds Greatest Bourbon" by Washingtonian Magazine. In addition, Jim Murray awarded Rock Hill Farms Bourbon 95 points in Whisky Magazine, while Wine Enthusiast rated it 96-100 points. Try the worlds greatest bourbon today!

Rock Town Bottled In Bond Bourbon Whiskey
When Rock Town Distillery was founded in 2010 by Phil Brandon, it became the first legal distillery of any kind in Arkansas since Prohibition. Rock Town, located in downtown Little Rock, is a true grain-to-glass distillery, making its craft spirits from corn, wheat and rye that are grown within a 125-mile radius of the distillery. The first spirits distilled at Rock Town were vodka, gin, and unaged Arkansas Lightning whiskey, touted as legal moonshine. They later added liqueurs and bottled cocktails to their range, and of course whiskey. Their line of Arkansas-made whiskeys comprises bourbons and ryes, as well as a hickory smoked whiskey, and they also created a number of anniversary editions. Passion for making premium spirits and dedication to the craft have earned this artisan craft distillery a number of international awards for its handcrafted products, including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Gold from the World Whiskey Masters for their bourbon. To get the bottled-in-bond label, a whiskey must be produced according to strict federal regulations, originally laid out in the Bottled-In-Bond act of 1897 that was adopted with the aim of eliminating the widespread adulteration of whiskey. These standards prescribe that a whiskey must be produced in one distillation season, by one distiller at one distillery, aged for least 4 years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof. The Rock Town 4YR Bottled In Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a premium small batch bourbon whiskey distilled from a mash of 82 percent Arkansas grown corn, 9 percent Arkansas wheat, and 9 percent malted barley. Like all of their whiskeys, it is made from grain to glass at the distillery in Little Rock. After aging for 4 years in 53 gallon barrels, it is bottled at 100 proof. Pick up a bottle today!

Rod and Hammers Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Founded ten years ago by California surfer Rodney Rod Cegelski, and Aussie Hamish Hammer Marshall, Rod and Hammer Bourbon is an American classic. Its aged two years in new American oak barrels to a deep amber color. The result is a smooth and mellow whiskey with hints of caramel, roasted nuts, corn, and vanilla when tasted neat.Founded to handcraft spirits with purified Pacific Ocean water, the story of Slo Stills began in 1988 at the Slo Brew brewery. In 2012 they distilled and aged their first whiskey, a rye beer mash made in the original Garden street copper kettle.Dried and malted grains such as corn or rye, are milled to expose the starch contained within. Water is added to create a mash and is cooked to convert starches into sugars, forming a liquid called wort. Yeast is added to the wort in fermenting tanks to convert the sugars to alcohol, resulting in a beer. This beer is transferred to a still and heated, causing the alcohol to vaporize and separate from the water and solids. The resultant spirit is then transferred to charred new American Oak barrels to mature from 6 months to 2 years or more. This Rod and Hammer Bourbon is sweet and smokey on the nose with notes of caramel and vanilla on the palate. The finish is smooth with sweet corn.Pick up your bottle today!

The Rossville Distillery opened its doors in 1847 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the then-upcoming rye whiskey capital of the world. Located near the Ohio River, the distillery had a beneficial position for trade, as well as an aquifer directly beneath it that provided limestone-filtered water. During their humble beginnings, a single blind horse was pulling the grist mill, capping the production at 2 barrels per week. But by the 20th century, the company had come a long way, capable of storing 60 thousand barrels at once. Rye whiskey was on the rise and the distillery was up to the challenge. The spirit was immensely popular before Prohibition and the old fashioned was created among other rye cocktails.Rossville Union was resurrected by MGP and continues the tradition at the historic 1847 distillery, focusing on masterfully-crafted rye whiskey. Their Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey Barrel Proof expression is a testament to that. They carefully select barrels, aged 5 and 6 years in new American charred oak barrels, creating a full-bodied and bold whiskey with plenty of spice, caramel, and a balanced smokiness thats bottled at 112.6 proof.Grab your bottle today!
