Ron Barcelo Imperial Rum

In 1929, Julin Barcel emigrated from Spain to Santo Domingo, founding Barcel and Co.in 1950, Barcel Blanco and Dorado gold Rum initiated the success of Ron Barcel brand, and the label has been growing rapidly ever since. Ron Barcel distills their rum from 100 percent Dominican sugar cane juice. It is finished for two years in French oak, in a horizontal fashion in the rickhouses, compared to Barcels traditional maturation process utilizing bourbon barrels, aged in a vertical fashion.This 10-year-old rum, this has premium rum notes combined by spicy kicks of bourbon overpowering the spirits latent sugar cane characteristics.
