In 1857, WandA Gilbey Co. was founded in a basement cellar at the corner of Oxford Street and Berwick in London. In addition, it was called "Liquid Gold" by Jim Murrays Whisky Bible, and earned the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
