Bruichladdich The Organic 2010 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bruichladdich is an award-winning distillery employing generations of distilling knowledge and the principle of minimal intervention. Built in 1881 on the wild Scottish island of Islay, Bruichladdich distillery still uses the original Victorian equipment to create a range of single malt whiskies that are trickle distilled, matured and bottled solely on Islay by a skilled team of 78 men and women.Bruichladdich implements revolutionary, modern interpretations of time-honored ideas and challenges the comfortable conventions of a whisky establishment. Rejecting the onset of modern automation and homogenization, Bruichladdichs Head Distiller, Adam Hannett, only considers production methods that place the quality of liquid above everything else.100 percent Scottish organic barley, slow trickle distillation and premium American oak have produced the creamiest whisky to come out of Bruichladdich. During the Victorian times when Bruichladdich Distillery was built, all Scottish barley was grown organically. The relationship between distiller, farmer and soil was intimate and enduring. These ties were lost as modern industrialized farming cut through ancient synergies. Bruichladdich Organic is an ode to ancient traditions.Pick up your bottle today!

Buck 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
The use of wooden barrels to store and transport liquids dates back to 2690 B.C., when ancient Egyptians during the Early Dynastic Period began replacing clay vessels with wooden casks in order to meet the demands of their sprawling civilization. The advantages of wooden barrels were evident not only were they less fragile than clay vessels, but their cylindrical shape allowed them to be rolled rather than carried across short distances. As settlers along the Nile quickly realized, however, barrels made from wooden staves imparted a unique color and flavor profile to the liquids stored within.Buck 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is matured for a minimum of eight years in new American oak casks under the intense Kentucky sun. As a result of this maturation process, the bourbon has a caramel color, along with an aroma of vanilla, dark fruits, creme brle and honey. The aroma gives way to notes of cherries, maple syrup, waffle cones and wood spices on the palate, and leads to a finish accented by touches of caramel, charcoal and cocoa. The bourbon earned the Bronze Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and earned a score of 91 points from the Beverage Testing Institute. Buffalo Trace Hancocks Presidents Reserve
The family-owned Buffalo Trace Distillery, established in 1775, is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America. It is one of the few American distilleries that continued its operations through the Prohibition, after it received permit to bottle medicinal whiskey when the 18th Amendment came into effect in 1920, and was even permitted to produce new whiskey from 1930 to 1933. As a result, George T. Stagg Distillery, as the company was named at the time, was one of only four Kentucky distilleries that was capable of producing whiskey after the Prohibition ended. The distillery changed several hands through more than two centuries, and the owners included Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who earned himself the title of the father of the modern bourbon industry. The distillery, now part of the Sazerac family, has remained dedicated to a single craft: the making of fine bourbon whiskey, bringing together tradition and innovation in the process. In 2000, the Buffalo Trace Distillery became the first American distillery to win Whisky Advocates prestigious Distillery of the Year award. Its Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley joined the distillery in 1995, and has worked in every aspect of the whiskey production process before becoming the master distiller in 2005. Harlen has been responsible for all the distilling and aging for the Sazerac Company, and has also been tirelessly promoting and teaching about finest bourbon whiskeys.Buffalo Traces Hancocks Presidents Reserve is a single barrel bourbon, which comes with no age statement. It is made from the distillerys high-rye mash bill number two, with 1215 percent rye, and bottled at 88.9 proof. The Hancocks Presidents Reserve was introduced in 1991, and named after Hancock Lee, a pioneer who co-founded of the Leestown on banks of the Kentucky River settlement in late 18th century, and one of the first distillers in the area.Pick up a bottle today!

Bull Run Straight Bourbon Whiskey
In the 1850s, cattle belonging to pioneers crossing the Cascade Mountains escaped into the dense forests of northwest Oregon. After the pioneers settled the territory, they often spotted the cattle grazing alongside the local lake or drinking from the adjacent river. As a result, the frontiersman began calling these bodies of water Bull Run Lake and Bull Run River.Situated along the banks of the Bull Run Watershed, Bull Run Distilling was founded by master distiller Lee Medoff, together his with friend, Patrick Bernards. "The history of Oregon and quality of Bull Run water were so important to our whiskey that we wanted to include it in our name," says Medoff. "It was natural."Bull Run Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a sourced bourbon made from a mashbill composed of 65 percent corn, 25 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley. After the bourbon is aged for a minimum of four years (although a number of barrels are aged as long as five years) in 53-gallon, charred American oak barrels, Medoff hand-selects fewer than a dozen barrels to blend together. "Im looking for that perfect combination of sweet and spicy,"he says. "We already have a lot of rye in the bourbon, which helps counter the flavor of the sweet corn, but Im looking to get that perfect balance."After selecting a handful of barrels, the bourbon is blended together and brought to proof with water from the Bull Run Watershed. The water, which many experts believe is one of the purest sources of raw water in North America, contributes a unique mouthfeel to the bourbon and leads to a softer, more supple flavor profile.Bull Run Straight Bourbon Whiskey has initial notes of butterscotch and toffee, which lead to spicy and warm notes of rye. The finish, which is smooth and complimented by a touch of honey and caramel, earned Bull Run Bourbon the Gold Medal at the American Distilling Institute Competition in 2012.Pick up a bottle today!
