291 Colorado Single Barrel Rye Whiskey
291 is an award-winning small batch distillery located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The comparatively young operation was established in 2011 by Michael Myers, a New York City fashion photographer with one cowboy boot always in the Old West. Seeing 9/11 unfold with his own eyes, he made the decision to move to Colorado Springs. Ever since growing up on the rural family farms in Georgia and Tennessee, he has carried with him a vision of a cowboy entering a bar and ordering a bottle. The vision inevitably became reality and the bottle became 291 Colorado Whiskey as fate would have it, on the exact date of the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. Myers previous life as a photographer permeates the distilling process to this day as the original still was fashioned from old copper photogravure plates he once used. Each drop today passes through it, since it is currently being used as a doubler. The whiskey thats made from scratch has a peculiar stage in the mashing process where finished beer is reserved and added to the next batch. They dubbed this technique, unique to Distillery 291, the El Paso County Process. They age their whiskey in heavy charred white oak barrels and finish it with their neighbors toasted aspen staves, added to each barrel. Then the whiskey is cut with clear Rocky Mountain water before being bottled, corked and labeled by hand. This flagship, Colorado Whiskey, is a single barrel rye whiskey distilled in a copper pot still, aged in American white oak barrels for one year, and finished with aspen staves. Unique, yet traditional, it has a flavor profile of cinnamon, rye bread, oak, and maple. Made from malted rye and corn mash.Pick up your bottle today!

Basil Haydens Dark Rye Whiskey
Following the end of the American Revolutionary War, Johannes Reginald Beam emigrated from Germany to the United States and eventually settled in Kentucky County. At the time, Kentucky County was still considered part of Virginia and was overseen by a military governor named John J. Bowman. After settling in Kentucky, Beam began harvesting corn and set forth a family tradition by distilling the excess grains he harvested into whiskey. Since then, seven generations of the Beam family have been involved in whiskey production for the eponymous company (the company is actually named after James Beam, who rescued it following Prohibition).Part of Booker Noes Small Batch Bourbon Collection, Basil Haydens Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is named after Basil Hayden Sr., a Maryland Catholic who led twenty-five other Catholic families from Maryland to Nelson County, Kentucky (near Bardstown, home of the Jim Beam) in the late 1700s. In addition to being a religious man Hayden established the first Catholic church in what is now the Commonwealth of Kentucky Hayden was also a distiller and a pioneering one at that. While most bourbon at the time was made from a traditional corn base, in 1796 Hayden defied convention by mixing small grains into his mash, believing that the spicy rye flavors would provide a striking complement to the corns sweetness. Much to the chagrin of the traditionalist set, Hayden proved to be right. This Dark Rye is the second release in Basil Haydens expanded portfolio, featuring a blend of Kentucky rye, Canadian rye the award-winning Alberta Distillery, and a dose of California port. Benders Rye Whiskey
While many modern whiskeys take their names from bourbon aristocrats of the past Colonel E.H. Taylor, George T. Stagg and W.L. Weller, to name a few Benders Rye Whiskey is made by a real, living man by the name of Carl Bender. Bender, who is an illustrator, designer and self-proclaimed whiskey aficionado, teamed up with his pal Christopher Cohen, who boasts twenty years of experience in the wine and spirits industry along with "superhuman" taste buds, to launch Treasure Island Distillery in 2011.Located on Treasure Island, the landmass emerging between the Oakland and San Francisco sides of the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island Distillery shares real estate with the navy and an auxiliary air facility. (Treasure Island was also the site of the 1939 Worlds Fair, and is a California Historical Landmark). While Treasure Island is technically a neighborhood of San Francisco, Bender and Cohen speculate that its "more hospitable to spirits than people."Benders Rye Whiskey was crafted in honor of Treasure Island Distillerys first foray into Manhattan, and is blended from five-year-old rye and eight-to-9-year-old corn whiskeys sourced near Alberta, Canada. Some of the whiskeys are aged in year-old Bourbon barrels and Hoffmeister barrels are used for selective additional aging. As a result, Benders Rye has a sweet and spicy character, including hints of vanilla and caramel, which leads to a palate accented by notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and molasses. The finish is long and dry, with notes of raisins and buttered toast. Pick up a bottle today!

Black Fly Piton Corn Whiskey
Black Fly was founded in 2013 by Keith and Steph Hadik. Their Gristmill distillery is wholeheartedly New York from grain to finish. Nestled in the Adirondack mountains, the rustic facility sources provincial ingredients for their handcrafted whiskeys, stating We source locally, we mash locally, and we distill locally. In 2007, New York State passed the Farm Distillery Act, which made distilling accessible to smaller businesses, it was after this law was passed that Keith Van Sise pursued a license to operate a New York State farm distillery. Gristmill encapsulates Upstate New Yorks rich agricultural heritage. The company, combining their love of whiskey and fresh mountain air, distilled their first spirit, a corn whiskey, at the end of 2014. Rusty Piton Corn Whiskey was released April 2016. Committed to distilling quality brandies and whiskies, Gristmill stresses the importance of local ingredients, using water sourced from a spring within a few paces of their facility. Their corn is grown by Adirondack Organic Grains in nearby Essex. The Adirondack Park, is home to Gristmill Distillers, six million acres of protected land, designated Forever Wild by the New York State Constitution in 1894. For over a century, these mountains have been a haven for hikers, climbers, cyclists, fishermen, and skiers.Gristmills Fly Piton Corn Whiskey is named after the local black flies that inhabit the area:Black flies are synonymous with the Adirondacks, as anyone spending time here can tell you. Like us, theyre active in the mountains and seek out adventurers making their way through the High Peaks. We grudgingly co-exist with these small but fierce locals (and find that our Black Fly bourbon whiskey is just the thing to take the edge off their bite) (Gristmill Distillers).Rusty Piton is also an homage to the rock climbers and mountaineers, and their steel pitons that they hammered into the mountain side for protection as they made their ascent. The name was born of a winter day ice climbing with friends at Silver Lake, an area of cliffs and ice here in the Adirondacks (Gristmill Distillers). Bottled at 40 percent ABV this white whiskey is sweet on the nose, with a warm, subtle hint of straight-off-the-cob sweetness.Pick up your bottle of Rusty Piton today!

Canadian Club 100 percent Rye Whisky
In 1858 Hiram Walker opened a whisky distillery that would become a North American symbol. Walker first founded his distillery in 1858 in Detroit. He had learned how to distill cider vinegar in his grocery store in the 1830s he produced his first whisky barrels in 1854. in 1891 Canadian Club, more popularly known as CC, became the first North American spirit to receive a Royal decree, from Queen Victoria. This ordained and highly acclaimedProhibition forced Walker to leave the dry" state of Michigan, and strategically transplant his distillery across the Detroit River to Windsor, Ontario. Located just over the border Walker was actually able to continue legally producing whisky when the sale of beverage alcohol was prohibited in the United States. Whisky also became one of the most smuggled whiskies in the U.S. at the start of Prohibition. The Canadian Club became a haven of clandestine activities at the peak of Americas Prohibition.Rumor has it that CC was highly favored by the likes of Al Capone, and that he had a lucrative business scheme smuggling the spirit across the Detroit River. Walkers whisky was particularly popular in the late 19th century gentlemens clubs of the United States and Canada; this is where it got the name "Club Whisky".Walker also revolutionized the whiskey industry by aging his spirit in oak barrels for a minimum of five years, at a time that all of the US bourbons and whiskies were aged for less than a year. Canadian Club has continued to be a success. Their Canadian Club 100 percent Rye won 2014 Canadian Whisky of the year. With its pure rye mash bill, this Canadian Club release has caramel oak notes and spicy finish, it is truly a distinct rye, filled with character.Pick up a bottle of Canadian Club Rye today!

Coppersea Bonticou Crag Straight Rye Malt Whisky
Named for the sea of copper stills that dotted New Yorks Hudson Valley throughout the 19th century before Prohibition, the region was a bonafide hub for whiskey distilling Coppersea Distillery strives to produce spirits in a manner reminiscent of those 19th century New York farmstead distilleries.Situated in New Paltz near the Mohonk Preserve in the Hudson Valley, Copperseas Heritage Methods Distilling includes a green malting process which has been little used in the past 300 years. While most distilleries purchase their grain already malted and dried, Coppersea floor malts its grain all of which is sourced locally at the distillery and is one of only a handful of distilleries to still use this technique. This special process allows the grain to sprout over the course of five days, converting starch into precious sugars and enzymes which are needed to feed the yeast thats added during fermentation. While risky the grain can mold if left moist for too long the payoff is big, producing a uniquely aromatic spirit full of fresh, hearty flavor. Coppersea is one of the rare distilleries in the world that malts its grain in-house.Coppersea uses a fire copper technique, directly firing their still to create flavors that would otherwise be left out in a steam-jacketed distillation. Direct firing allows the mash to caramelize as it cooks, giving Coppersea spirits an enhanced flavor profile that lends itself to a rich mouthfeel and depth of complexity and flavor. Named after the peak overlooking the Coppersea farm, Bonticou Crag Straight Malt Rye is crafted from 100 percent Hudson Valley rye, sourced directly from its own and neighboring farms in the Valley. Coppersea is proud to be a founding member of the Empire Rye consortium, and Bonticou Crag Straight Malt Rye is Copperseas first Empire Rye expression. Kilned to a light toast, and mashed in open-top wood fermenters, this malt rye is distilled twice in direct-fired alembic stills. Bonticou Crag Straight Malt Rye is the authentic encapsulation of a late-19th C style New York whisky.Pick up your Coppersea Rye Malt today!

Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Whisky
In 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth made history when they became the first reigning monarchs to journey across North America, traveling the distance by train. Prior to their arrival, a local entrepreneur set out to craft a whisky that the King and Queen could enjoy in the privacy of their rail car. After sampling over 600 different blends of whisky, and scouring through hundreds of different types of glass, labels and bottles, the entrepreneur created what he believed to be the perfect whisky and called it Crown Royal. At the beginning of their journey, the King and Queen were gifted ten cases of the whisky from Canada to enjoy on their journey. In early 2015, Crown Royal added to its growing collection of whiskies with the release of Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Whisky. Made from a mash of 90 percent rye grains, Northern Harvest Rye is actually Crown Royals first-ever rye whisky. (While Canadian whiskies typically contain some rye in the mash, few contain the 50 percent+ needed to be classified as a rye whisky in the United States.) Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Whisky is made from Canadian rye grain, certified by the #1 Canadian Western. The rye is planted in the fall, and sprouts until blanketed by soft winter snow. After the snow melts, the rye completes its growth, maturing over the spring and summer, and yielding a perfectly smooth rye grain for whisky. The whisky is unusually fruity for a rye, with an aroma of apple pie, cereal and mild spices. The aroma gives way to an extraordinarily smooth flavor profile, with more apple, custard and caramel, while the typical rye spiciness picks up. The finished is well-balanced, smooth and creamy.Try a new Canadian rye whisky today!

Ezra Brooks Straight Rye Whiskey
In the late 1950s, the Medley Distillery began producing a bourbon named Ezra Brooks in Owensboro, Kentucky. The distillery, which was founded in 1901, traced its origins back to the birth of Kentucky bourbon; while Reverend Elijah Craig is usually credited with producing the first bourbon whiskey at his mill in Lebanon in 1789, the Medley family began distilling whiskey at the same time in the adjacent county in Kentucky. In fact, except during the thirteen years during which distillation was outlawed in the United States, a member of the Medley family has been operating a distillery continuously since 1812.Today, Ezra Brooks Straight Rye Whiskey continues to be produced in the heart of Kentucky. The bourbon is made from a mash of 95 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley which are milled and mashed before being fermented. Following distillation, the bourbon is aged for a 24 months in charred American oak casks. Charcoal filtered and bottled at 45 percent ABV.Pick up your bottle today!

FEW + Flaming Lips Brainville Rye Whiskey
Hidden down a dark alley in a former chop shop, skilled men are quietly violating one of Evanstons founding principles: Prohibition. In the 19th century, Frances Elizabeth Willard was elected President of the Chicago Womans Christian Temperance Union and embarked on a decade-long crusade to prohibit alcohol in the United States. Willard worked tirelessly; as President of the WCTU, she traveled roughly 30,000 miles and gave an average of 400 lectures each year for an entire decade. As a result, Evanston remained a dry town for over 100 years. It wasnt until Paul Hletko, owner and master distiller at FEW Spirits, began lobbying the town that the antiquated laws were lifted. "Im the vice president of the PTA at my kids school and I coach their soccer and T-ball teams,"Hletko says. "People around town know me and what Im about, which is handy when youre looking to change 100 years of laws." Today, Hletko and his team of master distillers produce FEW Rye Whiskey and FEW Bourbon Whiskey in the heart of Evanston, Illinois.Like FEWs award winning rye, this release is made from a mash that uses corn, rye, and malted barley grown within 150 miles of the distillery. "The corn comes from a farmers co-op in Indiana and my barley and rye from farmers in Wisconsin," notes Hletko. After mashing and fermenting the grains using French wine yeast, Hletko distills the wash through his 1,500-liter Kothe copper-pot still. After distillation, the rye is aged in custom-made oak barrels from Minnesota. "The cooper I eventually chose to make our barrels won 24 out of 25 categories at a spirits competition I visited," Hletko says. "Im no math major, but thats the cooper I want to make our barrels." The #3 char on the barrels gives FEW Rye hints of allspice and peppercorn, which are followed by notes of dark caramel and cinnamon. In addition, the casks contribute slightly sweet hints of honey and vanilla, which are nicely balanced by a spicy finish that intensifies as it lingers. After aging the rye, Hletko and his team of distillers fill each bottle by hand, affixed with an artistic label inspired by the psychedelic rock group, the Flaming Lips. Music industry designer Justin Helton approached the folks at FEW about the partnership. A long-time Flaming Lips fan who has also done graphic design work for Ween, Phish, and the Black Keys among others, Helton wanted to create a special product dedicated to one of his favorite bands.Upon release, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne remarked: Whiskey its such a volatile drink. Upon pouring a drink its like accepting that you may become a werewolf And really ... Who doesnt want to become a werewolf ??? Ha. Heres hoping this rye doesnt actually turn you into a werewolf, that might be fun for you but it would be decidedly terrifying for everyone else. Perhaps it will inspire in you some level of transcendence nonetheless. This is a limited release of 5,000 bottles. Get yours today!

FEW Immortal Rye Whiskey
Founded in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, IL in 2011, FEW Spirits is a grain-to-glass distillery that crafts award-winning whiskey and gin, while constantly innovating and experimenting in order to bring surprising flavors to the discerning drinker. Evanston held the 1893 Worlds Fair, where the US was introduced to several modern inventions. The town was also known as the seat of Prohibition and would remain a dry community long after Prohibition was repealed in 1933. These 2 events became the inspiration that fueled the distiller Paul Hletkos vision of creating FEW Spirits, the first legal distillery ever to craft spirits in Evanston. The ever-creative Hletko has always loved making new things, whether as an engineer, lawyer, or musician. "At the end of the day, I like to have created something that didnt exist that morning and offers something completely different," says Hletko of the passion that drove him to open the distillery. With it he focused on creating urban whiskey that could rival that of his Kentucky friends with humble beginnings in an old chop shop. Now he crafts artisanal small-batch spirits using locally-sourced grains, ages them in American oak barrels and bottles on-site into US-made glass bottles. Hletko was named Distiller of the Year in 2018s edition of the Gin Magazines "Icons of Gin" feature. The FEW Immortal Rye expression is based on their award-winning grain-to-glass Straight Rye Whiskey that is aged in air-dried oak barrels. The cask-strength straight rye that has received a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition is then brought to proof with 8 Immortals oolong tea, resulting in a complex whiskey that retains its rye character and ramps up the complexity with fruity and creamy notes of the famous tea. Filibuster Dual Cask Straight Rye Whiskey
The filibuster is a powerful parliamentary procedure in the United States Senate that allows a Senator to speak indefinitely on any subject of his or her choosing in order to prevent a vote on legislation. Filibuster Distillery was founded in Washington D.C., near Capitol Hill and the name was chosen as a tribute to the freedom of expression that is a part of what makes America great. They are extremely proud of their lineup, which is built on the purest limestone-filtered water according to some, Shenandoah limestone enriches the water with even more desirable minerals than can be found in much-lauded limestone-filtered Kentucky water. Only the finest quality grains are used in this bio-sustainable operation and are converted into poultry feed after use. What really sets them apart, is their proprietary Dual Cask finishing program, where the traditional charred, new American oak barrels are joined by different wine casks. "Filibuster Whiskey is so good," says Sid Dilawri, the brands founder, "that you wont stop talking about it."The rye offering in their lineup Filibuster Dual Cask Straight Rye Whiskey puts tradition on its head just as their other expressions do. Built on a mash bill of 90 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley, its first aged in white American oak barrels, then finished in white-wine seasoned French oak casks. The result is an incredible balance of sweetness and spice. Cinnamon, oak, tropical fruit, caramel, and vanilla lead the charge on the nose and are followed by a soft as well as rich texture with more spice and sweet fruity, honey, and cotton candy notes. Fort Hamilton Single Barrel Rye Whiskey
Fort Hamilton Rye is a tribute to Alexander Hamiltons Hearts of Oak militias raid on lower Manhattan in August 1775. Under fire from HMS Asia, they decided to repurpose the battery of British cannons, subsequently forming Americas first artillery company.A traditional North-Eastern American style rye (which has no corn in the mash), Fort Hamilton rye is distilled purely from rye, malted barley, yeast and water to achieve a rich, full and robust flavor. Barreled at a low proof for a smooth profile that lends itself to the grain rather than the barrel. The warehouse is heated in the winter season to create a more dynamic aging process. Bottled as a single barrel, the rye is non-chill filtered and aged in heavily charred new American white oak barrels overlooking the Brooklyn waterfront, for eighteen months. As the first release from Alex Clark Spirits in Brooklyn, this bona fide, self-assured rye is one that doesnt live in bourbons shadow but shines brightly on its own. Its unique on the nose with pronounced aromas of grain and ample spice, wood notes, mint, and eucalyptus. The palate echoes the nose with soothing, smooth flavors, cedar, and black pepper, followed by a bold, smooth finish. Pick up your bottle today!

High West Yippee Ki-Yay
Situated at the bottom of the Quitting Time Ski Run in Park City, High West Distillery and Saloon is the first distillery in Utah since Prohibition and the only ski-in gastro-distillery in the world. We wanted to call High West a saloon, says David Perkins, High Wests founder, because we wanted to pay homage to the history of saloons in the old West and the important role they played in each and every town that had one. The saloon was the main meeting place where town hall was held, important announcements were made, and people went to eat and drink. We want people to share that sense of community and friendship over High West.Inspired by Buffalo Bill, High West Yippee Ki-Yay is a special blend of rye whiskeys a feisty two-year-old rye whiskey (composed of a mash of 95 percent rye and 5 percent barley) that was fermented with High Wests proprietary strain of yeast, together with a saddle-smooth 16-year-old rye whiskey (composed of a mash of 53 percent rye and 37 percent corn) that has been finished in oak casks that previously held vermouth (Vya, from Madera, California) and syrah (Qup from Santa Maria, CA).As a result, High West Yippee Ki-Yay has a beautiful, ruby red color and a nose filled with cinnamon, creme de cassis, and herbs such as rosemary and sage. The palate shows sweeter notes of vanilla, caramel and blackberries, and leads to an exquisite finish complete with orange peel, mint chocolate and clover honey.Previously available only at High West locations, Caskers has now secured an extremely limited quantity for our members. Hillrock Double Cask Rye Whiskey (Sauternes Cask Finished)
In the early 1800s, the State of New York was responsible for the production of more than half of the barley and rye harvested in the United States. The Hudson Valley, which extends from New York City northward through Albany, was the countrys original breadbasket and was home to thousands of farms, hundreds of which distilled the excess grains they harvested into whiskey. In the 1930s, the onset of Prohibition forced these farmers to abandon their stills.Today, in a 19th-century Georgian mansion situated in the heart of the Hudson Valley, this distillery pays homage to the New York farmers who produced their whiskey from grains to glass. Hillrock was co-founded by Jeffrey Baker and the late David Pickerell of Makers Mark fame.Hillrock Estate Double Cask Rye Whiskey was created by Pickerell from small batches of organically grown rye that are harvested from the Hillrock Estate. Once the rye has been harvested, it is mashed and fermented, before being distilled through Pickerells custom-made, 250-gallon copper-pot still. The still, which was built in Kentucky to Pickerells exact specifications, gives the distiller extraordinary control over the character and quality of the whiskey produced.Following distillation, the rye whiskey is matured in traditional charred oak casks before being double-barreled, or finished, in secondary casks. This expression the Hillrock Double Cask Rye Whiskey Sauternes Finish employs French Sauternes wine casks. This way the spicy rye gets additional notes of dried fruit and citrus, resulting in a delicately balanced and unique whiskey.Pick up a bottle today!
