The Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask Lunar New Year co-pack
Situated on a ridge above the banks of the River Spey, the Easter Elchies House has been the spiritual home of The Macallan for over three centuries. In 1820, Alexander Reid began renting the home from Sir Lewis Grant of Grant. Reid was a farmer, and soon after he sowed the fields surrounding the home with barley, Reid established the first licensed distillery on the estate, which he named Macallan after an ancient church that had been destroyed by fire during the 15th century. In the winter when there was little activity on the farm Reid would ferment and distill his excess grains into whisky, which was often drunk straight from the still or sold to travelers passing through the town.Today, the Macallan Estate encompasses 370 acres, 95 of which are devoted to the production of the Macallan Estates Minstrel barley (a single acre produces about 2.5 tons of barley each year, enough to yield 1,800 bottles of The Macallan). In addition, the distillery contracts with farmers to purchase barley that is low in nitrogen and high in starch, resulting in a rich and oily whisky. After the barley is harvested in late August and early September, it is malted before being mashed in one of The Macallans two mash tuns, a process that takes between four and eight hours. Then, the barley is fermented with a specially cultured yeast before being distilled twice through The Macallans copper-pot stills. The copper comprising the stills acts as a catalyst, and enhances the formation of sweet esters while minimizing impurities such as sulphur. In addition, the curiously small stills some of "the smallest stills within the Scotch whisky industry, "according to production manager Alexander Tweedie produce a whisky with a heavy, oily flavor.Following distillation, The Macallan distillers remove the heads and tails of the whisky and collect approximately 16 percent of the spirit to fill into casks for maturation. This "cut,"which is among the highest of any Scottish distillery, results in a more full-bodied and rich whisky. In honor of the Chinese Lunar New Year, this Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old is a part of their Double Cask range which marries the classic Macallan style and the unmistakable sweetness of American oak. This is a fully rounded single malt in perfect balance, with flavors of honey, citrus and ginger.Pick up your bottle today!

Westward Oregon Stout Cask American Single Malt
Born in the Northwest, from the distinctive culture, climate, and natural ingredients that come together to make a provenance-driven whiskey, Westward draws inspiration from its teams brewing and distilling experience. Oregon Stout Cask is Westwards tribute to its home in one of the most iconic beer-producing regions of the world; it grew out of Westwards longstanding cask-trading tradition among a select group of beer producers in the Northwest.Westward is a brand rooted in partnerships and for as long as the distillery has been making whiskey, it has traded its freshly-emptied barrels with some of its brewing friends in and around the Northwest, who have in turn seasoned them with Stout before returning them again. Each cask has housed Stout beer from a variety of leading stout producers throughout Oregon, including Bent Shovel Brewing, Breakside Brewing, Culmination Brewing, Deschutes Brewery, Ex Novo Brewing Co., Fort George Brewery, Migration Brewing, and Sky High Brewing, among others. After the whiskey is fully matured, it is then finished to taste in American White Oak Stout casks for approximately one year to create Westward Oregon Stout Cask.Westward Oregon Stout Cask begins by brewing a delicious American pale ale, from scratch, using locally malted barley, ale yeast, and a slow, low temperature fermentation. The fresh beer is then distilled twice in custom pot stills designed to create a bold, robust spirit before entering lightly toasted American Oak barrels barrel at a relatively low proof. The whiskey is aged to taste in the Northwest, where the regions hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters are the ideal environment to raise a world class whiskey before finishing for one additional year in freshly-emptied stout beer casks.Grab your bottle today!

Yaguara Cachaa
During the 17th century, the Madeira archipelago (situated just 200 miles north of the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa) was the major exporter of sugar and sugar cane to much of Portugal and the remainder of Western Europe. As Algerian pirates began raiding European cargo ships in the 18th century, and Napoleon began plunged Europe into a series of wars, the waters off the coast of the Madeira archipelago became too dangerous, and the production of sugar cane, as well as cachaa a spirit distilled from sugar cane shifted to Brazil. Since then, cachaa has become the most popular spirit in Brazil and the third most-popular spirit in the world.Yaguara Cachaa is crafted by a fifth-generation family of cachaa producers, situated in the heart of Brazil. After the stalks of organic sugarcane grow as high twelve feet on the familys estate, expert farmers tenderly harvest the crops by hand using a machete. Then, the sugarcane is pressed and the resulting pulp slowly fermented using a family yeast recipe that has been passed down for nearly two hundred years. Following distillation, the cachaa is distilled through a 750-liter copper alembic still before being expertly blended together by Master Blender Erwin Weimann, who has over four decades of experience in the cachaa industry. As a result of his expertise, Yaguara Cachaa has a golden green hue, along with an aroma of overripe bananas, papayas and dried apricots. The aroma gives way to notes of chamomile, lentils, limes and lemongrass on the palate, and yields to a finish accented by touches of ginger and crushed red pepper.Yaguara Cachaa is gluten-free and was just released in the United States.
