Jack Daniels Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey
Born on September 5, 1850, Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel was the youngest of ten children. His parents were of Scottish and Irish descent. In 1864 Jack learned the art of whiskey making from the preacher and an enslaved man named Nathan "Nearest" Green. Nearest eventually became Jack Daniel Distillerys head distiller. Daniels distillery founded in Lynchburg, Tennessee in 1866 was the first registered distillery in the country (at the time, distilleries were required to register with the federal government, and the Jack Daniel Distillery was given Registered Distillery Number 1). Today, Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the most distinguished and recognizable names in the spirits industry.Among all their offerings Jack Daniels Black Label stands out as the instantly recognizable, iconic classic and the brands flagship. It accounts for 96 percent of Jack Daniels sales, making it the best selling whiskey in the world. While the true meaning behind the "Old No. 7" on the label was lost with Daniels death, it is known that it won 7 gold medals in a very different time. It received its very first at the 1904 Worlds Fair in St Louis, Missouri, where the spirit reigned supreme over 24 others from across the globe a sign of things to come. The most important step in its creation is still the charcoal mellowing, or as they like to call it "The Extra Blessing". Before going into barrels, the clear, 140-proof distillate is filtered through handcrafted charcoal drop by drop, a process that takes from 3 to 5 days and is the reason behind the Black Labels signature smoothness.Get your bottle today!

Today, Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the most distinguished and recognizable names in the spirits industry. To craft Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey, master distiller Jeff Arnett of Lynchburg, TN first selects one out of every hundred barrels for its unique and expressive qualities. Once these special casks have been identified, they are moved to the very top of the distillerys rickhouses, where extreme temperature changes facilitate dramatic interactions between the whiskey and the wood (by law, Tennessee whiskey must be aged new, charred American oak barrels). Finally, each barrel is bottled individually at 94 proof, resulting in truly one-of-a-kind flavors in every bottle.Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey has a cherrywood color and classic aroma of vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, and even some cinnamon. On the palate, notes of oak and charcoal become evident, along with sweeter touches of orange peel and honey. The finish is sweet and spicy, with flavors of butterscotch and clove lingering on the tongue. Each bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey is hand-numbered, including the exact barrel number from which it was drawn. Jack Daniels Single Barrel Tennessee Rye Whiskey
Born on September 5, 1850, Jasper Newton Jack Daniel was the youngest of ten children. His parents were of Scottish and Irish descent. In 1864 Jack learned the art of whiskey making from the preacher and an enslaved man named Nathan Nearest Green.Nearest eventually became Jack Daniel Distillerys head distiller. Today, Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the most distinguished and recognizable names in the spirits industry.Jack Daniel Distillery Single Barrel Rye Whiskey is crafted from a batch of 70 percent rye, 18 percent corn and 12 percent malted barley (this mashbill is the first new mashbill used at the Jack Daniel Distillery Distillery in over a century). Once the ingredients have been mashed, they are fermented with a proprietary strain of yeast and iron-free cave spring water. Following fermentation, the wash is distilled and the resulting whiskey is then charcoal mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple. This filtering process, known as the Lincoln County Process, earns the whiskey the title of Tennessee Whiskey and imparts a signature, sweet yet smoky flavor profile.Once the whiskey has been charcoal filtered, it is matured for several years in toasted and charred new American White Oak barrels stored in the uppermost locations at the Jack Daniel Distillery warehouses. The higher the barrels are positioned, the hotter the temperature, and therefore the more opportunity the whiskey has to interact with the oak. Bottled at 94 proof, Jack Daniel Distillery Single Barrel Rye Whiskey has an aroma of apples, plums and ripe fruit mingled with charred oak. Notes of butterscotch and caramel on the palate give way to a pleasant, peppery spice, which fades on the finish to reveal notes of vanilla bean and fresh maple. In its first year, only 8,000 cases of Jack Daniel Distillery Single Barrel Rye Whiskey will be released worldwide. Pick up a bottle of limited edition Jack today!
